Samidata spoils "Death of a President"

Samizdata reveals the secret truth behind the most controversial movie of the year. Filmed in Technicolor. A secret so shocking that never before in the history of motion pictures has there been anything like it. Thrill to the suspense! Can you stand to know the ending of "Death of a President"?

I knew early on I would not find 'Death of a President' to my tastes, and now that I have heard the plot summary I know it for a certainty. Since most major US film outlets are not running it, I will spoil the plot for you for the movie few of you would have bothered to go see any way.

Gee Wretchard,
The economy is up, unemployment is down, most democrats vote with republicans when push comes to shove.
The stock market has recorded record high closings. Despite all the media talk about imminent failure in Iraq and Afghanistan, I think we are still winning. The democrats along with republicans voted for a wall between us & Mexico.

Pay no attention to the facts behind he curtain! Focus on Rep. Foley!

What does the left have left other than their curdled hatred and fantasies of killing the president?

tim p,

Without giving away the shocking spolier that Wrechard hid behind his link, that's why the film is set in the future. Sure, things seem great now, as the filmmakers see it, but in a few years the results of the evil policies of the loathed Bush administration will be more apparent. We may be riding high now, says the Death of a President, but things will go downhill quickly. The terribly wicked president has put the country on a giant sled and given it a push and, oh the delightful irony to see him run over in the end by a giant sled named Rosebud.

OOPS. Belated spoiler alert...

Oh, I forgot to mention that the US deficitdropped by 250-billion as the percolating economy fuels more tax revenue.

Nobody hates good times like a leftist.

Tim P, could you please explain to us in what ways we are successfully building democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan? And please be specific in referencing parties on the ground while doing so (i.e. SCIRI, Dawa, Sadr, the Kurdistan Alliance, Fadhila, Sunni Insurgents Who Sit in Parliament, etc.).

Do you consider Hamas a success as well? Hezbollah? If we have failed in building democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan, in what other ways are we "winning"?

Last time there was a Leftist in the Oval Office, there were three consecutive years (1998-2000) with no deficits. Good times indeed.

Teresita,
You said,"Last time there was a Leftist in the Oval Office, there were three consecutive years (1998-2000) with no deficits."

If you are referring to trade deficits, that is incorrect. Reference the following article, one of many,
Central Banker Points to US Deficit Worries

If you really think that Clinton's administration, or any recent administration regardless of party has managed an economy without deficits, I have some land to sell you.

Perhaps you are refering to the so called and much ballyhooed at the time, Balanced Budget Act of 1997?
That was just an accounting shell game. Neither pary has been able to truely balance the budget for quite some time.

However, at least with the democrats, the MSM pretends everything is fine, while with the republicans, the MSM continually cries that the sky is falling.

As is usual, the truth lies somewhere in between, or with regard to the MSM about three fields over.
