The march of Foley 3

The NY Times has a chart. Ready for that Outing? Lawrence O’Donnell at the Huffington Post starts the countdown as the List works its way down to Number One on the gay Republican Hit Parade. "The LA Times has outed Kirk Fordham today. He will not be the last closeted gay Republican outed by this scandal." He reveals that the "NY Times has a chart". Once the game was "name that tune", now it's "name that ..." What's funny is that some homosexuals thought a certain political point of view really cared. They're right; but they're wrong about what they really cared about. More ...

Not to be outdone, LA Times has the story of how a 21 year old Page had sex with Triple F "The former page, who agreed to discuss his relationship with Foley with the Los Angeles Times on the condition that he not be identified, said his ... sexual encounter was in the fall of 2000... At the time, he was 21 ... he and his fellow pages ... nicknamed him 'Triple F,' for 'Florida Fag Foley.'" Florida Fag Foley.

Now there's a phrase I'd dare anyone in the Republican Party to use. Maybe one of the reasons this scandal has such a big giggle factor is that it allows everyone to engage in licit gay-bashing. The Department of Political Correctness finally discovered why Carnivals are so popular in countries which observe Lent. The LA Times, the Belmont Club and a half-dozen talk shows can get away with mentioning the "F" word because it's a Republican scandal. But open season will soon be over, so bash while the bashing's good. Hypocrisy? Hardly. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde were absolutely sincere.

Fascinating how the "party of tolerance" revels so in their political blood-outings. After scolding the rest of us for years about the supposed 10% and the need to accept....

What do you think the chances are that 21 year old stays anonymous? Will his "reveal" be voluntary (for a book deal) or forced (by some Dem operative for political purposes)?

If the Republicans lose the legislature, Foley's hand will be all over it:

Foley seeds Reynolds’ decline: Democrat Jack Davis has opened a
significant lead over Republican incumbent Thomas M. Reynolds in a congressional
contest fueled by Reynolds’ association with the Mark Foley sex scandal.

Actually, the Democrat's plot was brilliant. Foley et al thought they were protected by the professed liberal horror against persecuting gays. But as they say in the movies: "we lied". The perfect political Pearl Harbor. All sunk off Foley Island.

If the Senate goes to 49 Reps, 49 Dems and 2 Ind, what are the odds Lieberman would still caucus with the Dems? Maybe he would but if he does he has no guts.

Lieberman is one of the only Dems with guts, truly in the mold of Scoop Jackson. He might even formally join the GOP just to rub it in the face of the Kossacks.

Lieberman has already said he would caucus as a Democrat if he won as an Independent (see his interview with Roger Simon at Pajamas) otherwise he would lose his seniority in all the committees he belonged to. The system is the way it in order to keep the system the way it is.

It could even be 2% (but don't bid it too low, or your threats of the omnipresent "gay agenda" will lose it's teeth). Doesn't matter. The need to accept is based solely on the fourteenth amendment:

"...No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States..."

I just don't see where your average man-on-the-street voter cares about this as an issue. It's a blonde murder victim story hyped by the MSM because it involves sex and politics. And the Democrats are ululating all over the place, hoping to prove their superiority as human beings.

But it's gay sex, and average people simply don't care about that if they don't have to actively watch it on the streets. It won't affect the price of gas, it won't affect property taxes, it won't keep Mexicans from swarming across the border, and it won't prevent a terrorist bomb attack.

So who out there in voter-land is paying attention and is going to allow it to change their votes on the things they *do*, demonstrably, care about?

Leftoids are using Foley like one uses a cross against a vampire. But, recall in the movie Salem's Lot where one guy is being attacked by the vampire and he grabs the nearest cross to no effect.

The Vampire's sidekick told the vicitm faith in what the Cross stands for is needed for it to work.

The only way it does if the Dems gain the Congress by one seat and Foley's district flips.

We even have lefties brandishing Foley's name in the Wisconsin gubernatorial race.

On The Corner they have been ripping David Corn as David McCornthy for a supposed list of gay Republican David Corn claims to have.
