"Band of Brothers" was one of the most moving things I've ever watched. It spurred me to read every book associated with it that I could.
I wrote an essay about it here.
On a side note, I just read that the last WWI survivor in the US is near death. WWII survivors are beginning to die quickly, too. For decades, the Greatest Generation formed the core of our politicians (and political thinking) and business leaders. Their quiet passing away is leading us into uncharted waters.
