Babil

Bill Roggio describes an ongoing multi-brigade Marine operation in the faultline between the Sunni and Shi'a ethnic areas south of Baghdad. Codenamed Operation Marne Avalanche, part of its goal is to destroy the infiltration infrastructure leading from the south into the capital.

To date, Operation Marne Torch resulted in 1,152 structures cleared, 83 insurgents killed, 278 insurgents detained, 51 caches found, 51 boats destroyed and 872 citizens entered in a biometric identification system.

Nothing follows.

Yea and Iran is still next door funding, training, equipping and in general acting like they are at war with us. Oh thats right they ARE at war with us...have been since 1979 when they invaded our Embassy and 1983 when they murdered 241 Marines. The highest total number of Marines killed in one day since WW2. Some might take offense at that but not our politicians. No we need to talk with them some more...reason with them...negoitiate. You know count me as a Surge Supported the very minute they get rid of Iran supplying our enemies in Iraq. Until then the surge is like masturbation...satisfying for a second but in the long run its only beating your meat.

We are NOT paying attention to what wins wars...LOGISTICS!!!! We are fighting a society and culture that are completely unable to manufactor their own weapons...not even the lowly AK47. Where are they getting the weapons and know how???

The Problem Child Iran, thinking out of the box…yes we can!
