How to explain recent history to your kids.

That was really great, actually. If you took out the Star Wars overlay, and just did that straight, and brought it up to the current situation, I think you'd really have something. Why the Republicans don't put out material of this sort to explain the situation to the public is... well, one can only say that they are doing nothing of the sort whatsoever, nor is anyone else. Why is that? Well, of course, you know the ACLU and CAIR would sue your ass into the ground, that's why, I guess.

But I'd be proud of you. Please go for it.

Thanks.

Can't blame the ACLU for GWB buying into the ROP, entertaining the enemy at the ranch and Whitehouse, anymore than one might excuse FDR for having Hitler over for Dinner, declaring Fascism just another form of Government with it's good points and bad.

I've done some video editing and that was really, really well done from conception through execution. Great job!

I would love to see him do another version with more recent events - and yes, this WOULD be a good way to get kids interested in WWII history. The familiar sound track really does a great job. Personally, I think "The World at War" should be required viewing in High School history classes along with Ken Burns' "The Civil War," but this would surely be a good start to some discussions.

Allied forces striking from Great Britain...

And now, to put this into perspective, some other quote:

Almost 85-90% of all German troops were deployed on the Eastern Front and only 400,000 Germans in two armies, the German Seventh Army and the newly created Fifth Panzer Army was all that Germany could spare to defend against the allied invasion.

That seems to be a curious notion of "explaining"... Batrachomyomachia anyone?

Nikitia, the opening crawl does mention both fronts, and the last sections focus on the Russian offensive. As the maker of the video I was careful to be as accurate as possible.

Hardly Batrachomyomachia.
