In Pakistan We Trust
New video has emerged suggesting Benazir Bhutto was killed by gunfire and not from an accidental concussion caused by quickly ducking into her car, as claimed by the Pakistani government. Since Bhutto died from an intentional attack it is immaterial whether the bullet, bomb or trauma caused from attempts to escape were the actual cause of death. She was killed by assassins. However, the doubt now cast on Pakistani government's version of events by the new video data raises questions about whether the authorities can be trusted. Trust is the commodity upon which fairness of the proposed elections is predicated, and upon which the safeguards of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal are based.
Nothing follows.

Well, I don't even trust the people who say the government can't be trusted.
If the bullet grazed her skull rather than fully penetrating into her brain, it may have caused an injury more consistent with hitting her head on an object than a fatal head shot.
I can imagine our journalist hanging around a hospital printing rumor as fact -- and maybe making up a few of their own -- so why not the Pakistani members of the tribe?
Pakistan politics has reminded me of a sack of quarreling cats for decades. I assumed that when a cat in the sack gets whacked by an outsider, that would get all the other cats attention. But I could be wrong. Or maybe they don't consider the assassins outsiders.
How Bhutto Won Washington
It's a pity the IAF can't reach Pakistan.
My brother reminds us that no one at the race track raises questions about the legitimacy of the track operators when a "photo finish" has to be examined to sort out which horse's nostril crossed the line first.
We are shocked and dismayed --- SHOCKED, I say --- that Richard F. would call into question the trust-worthiness of Pakistan's government over the confusion about Madame Bhutto's fatal injuries.
Probably done by Afganistabbies.
(Again, I credit my brother with that term.)

This is the bottom line. Bhutto would most likely be alive had the attack not ocuurred. How much longer she would have continued to survive is another matter entirely. It's long past tea to dismember Pakistan as an object lesson to other Islamic nations.

Agreed. Just one proviso: can we please not stick around to rebuild the damned place after it's been leveled?

Sorry, boys:
These are our ALLIES!
Arm em up, so they can move out.
(I'd think an F-16 would be a more reliable delivery vehicle for a precious Nuke than some Paki Missile)

Dolink, please know that if the West has a single last lonely neuron still firing amidst the deep-space vaccuum surrounding its diplomatic core, the era of nation-building is over for once and all time.
Iran should be a complete and total drive-by shootup. Pakistan a smash-and-grab for its nuclear arsenal. Saudi Arabia should enjoy watching its Ghawar oilfield being appropriated in recompense for the 9-11 atrocity. As to the resources of other Islamic countries, please let me know when I am supposed to give a flying rusty duck.
Muslims have made themselves so utterly abrasive to the entire world's remaining population that they need a knee in the collective groin to inform them of their idiocy.
