Fox News reports that "Federal counterterrorism officials are analyzing a posting on an Islamic forum Web site that warns of 'a special gift' to be given on the sixth anniversary of Sept 11 ... The warning was posted Sept. 2 on a site frequented by radical groups". This is in connection with Osama Bin Laden's reported plan to release a new video to the American people on the occasion of the anniversary of the collapse of the Twin Towers. The Prairie Pundit says Bin Laden's new video probably means Trouble for Truthers. What does Bin Laden have to do with 9/11 anyway? Unless that "Special Gift" is an exclusive, one-time only offer for a special Care Bear toy redeemable at your neighborhood supermarket. But somehow, that's not Bin Laden's style. Nothing follows.

One might hope the next Bin Laden message means trouble for the "911 Truth" cult. However, it looks as though the cultists have performed another mental gyration which will allow them to integrate any number of messages from Bin Laden or anybody else. According to the latest Zogby poll while only 4.6 percent of the population believes that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by elements of the U.S. government, fully 26.4% believe that the U.S. government "let it happen".
"Let it happen" is a non-falsifiable statement. Those who believe it need not change their beliefs however much evidence points to Bin Laden and Al Qaeda.
The really troubling Zogby poll result comes when beliefs about 9/11 are broken down by party affiliation: 42.6 percent of those identifying themselves as Democrats believe either that elements of the U.S. government carried out the attacks or "let them happen."
It looks as though "9/11 Truth" has found a political home.

Doesn't that denial process also go for the whole Arab/Muslim mindset that their system is superior, their allah is superior, men are superior to women, and everything about the Middle East (except the Jews) is wonderful and the best in the world ... when things are demonstrably falling down all about their ears and inferior in all ways.
