"May you rot in hell". Writes Michelle Malkin to an antiwar protester who spat on an 82nd Airborne amputee being treated at Walter Reed. Malkin's comment is short and to the point, though I can't help thinking that the protester's main problem was that he let his mask slip and let his inner self come through the teeth of his talking points. Not just the antiwar side, though. The bully side.

While here on earth I have had my 40 year fill of anti war protesters. Anti-America fellow travellers, people who burn our flag and call it freedom of speech...so
Since I live in Florida and have a concealed weapons permit, AND Florida has a Stand Your Ground law, should I get into a confrontation with an anti, and it turns nasty I am allowed to stand my ground and shoot them. A 1911A1 .45ACP makes a nasty hole. So don't push too hard. This isn't 1968 and I don't give a shit about your right to protest.

Interestingly, though, the story by Bubblehead Malkin doesn't say anything about spitting on a soldier, it's about someone spitting on the ground near a soldier. More and more I'm seeing a sense of hand-wringing anticipation and glee at the thought of perforating herds of moonbats at the same time we go after the Muslims after the next coming Jihad attack. I wonder if Jane and her happy hoarde of tinfoil hat-wearers realize how far they've pushed a large percentage of America towards a tipping point of seeing them as enemies, and not merely citizens with a different point of view.
The Darwinian equation would break down to: "all you need is love" moonbat spits on armed and trained warrior in public; who will survive?

Yeah, I got carried away on Blogger Beer and used "spit on". After the moonbat came in & threw the comment about Josh being Jamil I read the story closer and sure enough, it was spitting on the ground nearby.
I struck the language and issued an update.
And yes, I too condemned the veteran who spat on Jane Fonda we are together on that one. That was not expression that was violence.
Rereading Michelle's account of the incident I see she doesn't use the word "on" but "at".
Before we go to court, let's revisit the playground, or the alley, or wherever young men learn to fight.
The "gender" of the spitter is not reported. The fact that the soldier spit back strongly suggests that the spitter was male.
Any numbskull knows that spitting at or near your antagonist dramatically escalates the game. The soldier displayed remarkable control in only spitting back. In less public circumstances, I'd bet that there'd be a hospitalized protester today.

The media will never follow up to determine whether she really was the mother of a marine, and what her political back ground is, like if she is part of a group which deliberately plans interruptions like this.
There is a multi-million dollar anti-war campaign going on, as was reported in the newspapers, so it is likely this was planned. It's all part of a strategy to pretend that the country has turned against the war.
I also wonder why she was able to "repeatedly" interrupt. That's the advantage of this tactic though, that when the protestor gets thrown out, they just get more sympathy.

When someone heckled John Howard during a recent visit to the U.S., he was 'being forced to confront anti-war sentiment'.
When a Falun Gong member heckled Hu Jintao during his visit to the U.S. the press went into paroxysms of hand-wringing about how we clumsey Americans could allow a foreign visitor to 'lose face' (sheesh) and wrote the heckler off as 'possibly mentally disturbed'.
You and I just don't get it: Heckling The Man is speaking truth to power. Not buying Dixie Chicks CDs is stifling dissent. We'll get the hang of it some day.
Spit on...spit at. Try spitting in the general direction of a police officer and you will find yourself cuffed and on the way to jail. Is any soldier, active or inactive, less of a public servant than any cop?
The groups that organize these protests are anti-American. Read about United for Peace and Justice and the World Workers Party. Both are communist organizations that seek to destroy the United States.
When you march, shout and spit under the banner of these organizations, you have crossed the line. You may have freedom of speech BUT you declare yourself an enemy of the Constitution of the United States.
The freedoms they use to protest, they would deny to others were they to gain power.
And there will always be a lawyer-whore to defend their rights while restraining patriots.
