Trying to fix RSS feed problems
I've been trying to find a way to fix the Belmont Club RSS feed problems. Currently it shows only the headers, not the summaries, in some feed readers.
For some reason the summary tag isn't being rendered, though it is included in the RSS feed.

In contrast, this RSS feed item is rendered. So I'm looking for a way to re-tag the feed Blogger generates to replace the "summary" tag with "description".

You might want to try Feedburner. It provides lots of feed publishing options, and having been acquired by Google, it may have now have been integrated in some ways with Blogger (that's just a guess, however Google can sometime be maddeningly slow at integrating its acquisitions into their obvious "homes" at Google).
check out the developers blog, there is bullet led list of stuff with titles and short description.

I've tried Feedburner, in fact the RSS feeds are redirected to it. But I'll try the developers blog. If not I have a more radical solution but one which requires much more work; and that is to rework the template from scratch to bring it into conformity with the existing Blogger template.

"In normal (“Beam”) mode, move your cursor around the screen, and Dimensions displays horizontal and vertical measurements of just about anything visible, including gutters, margins, images, buttons, desktop backgrounds, and OS-level controls and UI elements.
